About Me

Wow, it sure doesn't seem that long, but I have been with Citi going on 6 years now. It is a great company to work for; there are so many great benefits that come with being an employee. But, I guess the two things that I value most about working for Citi is the commitment to the Community and their celebration of Diversity. It is nice to be employed with a company that walks the walk!
A little about me:
I am originally from a small, beautiful lakeside town in Michigan. Frankfort, on the white shore of Lake Michigan...one of my favorite places in the world. Every year I spend at least one week during the summer there. It rejuvenates me and helps me to slow down and remember the things that are really important in life.
I have had the opportunity to live in a number of different places. What an education that has been!! Frankfort, Michigan; Lansing, Michigan; Arlington, Virginia; Springfield, Virginia; Manila, Philippines; San Francisco, California; Los Angeles, California; Santa Barbara, California; New York, City; Cincinnati, OH; and Bellevue, KY.
My education is non-traditional being older when I began college at Hunter College in NYC. I majored in Classical Studies with a Minor in Art history. Grad school was what brought me back to the Midwest. I attended the University of Cincinnati with my area of concentration in Classical Archaeology. Left grad school when it became apparent that it was not an easy accomplishment to get a job in my field ; too many graduates and not enough positions.
It’s funny, as an archaeologist I dug for ancient artifacts, and as a recruiter I am still digging, for candidates this time.
The two things that I love most in my life (besides my husband) are guitar and dogs. I have been playing guitar for many years and is what calms me at the end of a long day.
Dogs are my other passion. I have two of my own; a 6 yr old black lab named "Jett" and a 2 yr old Newfoundland "Sadie Jane". I am currently working with a local rescue agency, Sheltered Paws and am fostering a dog for them. Maggie is about 2-3 and is part Lab and part Greyhound. She needs a forever home.
My professional passion is the thrill of finding great candidates and matching them to the great company that I work for. It is gratifying when you find the perfect fit and have a win:win situation for the employee and the company.
