About Me

I manage large international development contracts for donor agencies like USAID and The World Bank to help developing countries develop economically and improve the performance of their government. I've been travelling to Africa, the former Soviet Republics, and the Middle East since I was a Peace Corps Volunteer 20 years ago.

My latest project, winding down in 2011, is to help rebuild the Government of Iraq. Its my first "conflict" post, and hopefully my last. 320 Iraqi and foreign professionals worked together to help 10 ministries and 5 executive agencies rebuild their internal systems.

I take great professional interest in career paths, as 25 years ago I was trying to figure out what to do with my life, and I found the recommended approaches at the time to be stupid. I'm interested in new and alternative approaches to career management.

I also have a passion for the perfect PowerPoint presentation. My latest interest is to integrate storytelling into my presentation skills.
