I've worked for the American Psychological Association for a year and a half in their Public Interest department. My office specializes in psychology grad students with disabilities. My main duty is "behind the scenes" how psychology and life affects students with disabilities. One of my proudest achievements so far has been my effect on our Mentoring program. Our mentoring program helps connect students with disabilities with APA members either with similiar disabilities and/or psychology field.
Before that I interned at the National Education Association, and did temporary work with AARP, Georgetown University Hospital, and Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and the American Red Cross.
I got my BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration on Psychology and Health Promotion. I focus more in health promotion, because I want to work in health care.
I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities in northern VA, or the D.C metro area. My primary goals in the workforce are job growth and training.
