About Me

I grew up in a very small town in Northern Michigan. After graduating college, I couldn't wait to move to a big city. So, upon graduation, I moved to be closer to my sister and set up residence in Ann Arbor, MI. I love the conveniences of the city life and yet I also very much enjoy the outdoors and nature (bonfires, barbeques, nature walks, etc). I guess you could say that I am a "small town girl" at heart but also enjoy what the city life offers.

I have been in the HR and Recruiting field for about 13 years. My first job out of college was a front line manager at Target. I loved retail but the hours were not for me!

From there, I was recruited to work as a Staffing Consultant for a contract staffing firm (later acquired by Adecco), where I first learned the ropes about the whole recruiting world. I absolutely loved this; meeting new candidates, working directly with management, and the joy of working on tight deadlines. I left there to work for a more specialized placement firm as a Staffing Manager, where I stayed for about a year. This was a very exciting way to grow and continue honing my recruitment skills, as this was a start up office. I loved the independence and having my very own office (for the 1st time). Since it was a start up office, it was hard to retain sales talent, so I had to jump in and assist with this on a weekly basis. Needless to say, sales was not my forte. Shortly thereafter, I was connected to ABN AMRO (acquired by Citi in 2007) and I started out as an HR Generalist and was promoted to Sr HR Generalist. In 2006, they split the HR team and I joined the Talent Acquisition team (Recruiting) where I was a Senior Recruiter. Then in 3/07 we were acquired by Citi and luckily I was retained as an employee. It has been quite a ride as it felt (in a sense) that I had started all over in my role with a new company and learning all new processes, procedures and goals (which are ever-changing). It has been very exciting to be a part of such a large, dynamic and innovative company. Citi is definitely not stagnant with it's products, services and processes. They are always on the cutting edge of new technology and ways of doing business to better meet our customers (internal and external) needs and expectations. I look forward to the continued journey ahead and to new horizons. It has been a privilege to be associated with such a remarkable and highly recognized company.
