I'm a well-rounded young professional who is seeking a new opportunity with a socially-conscious and innovative organization in the D.C. area.
I am a native Washingtonian who graduated from the University of Richmond in 2009. Since then, I have worked at Frenzoo, an internet startup in Hong Kong, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond's Community Affairs Office.
Prior to the Federal Reserve, I was a scholarship recipient of the Bonner Scholars Program. Within four years, I volunteered over 1,500 hours at various national and small-scale nonprofit organizations: the Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, LIFT, and Teach First.
Overall, I have a solid liberal arts background in communications, business, and Chinese. In the working world, my diverse academic training has simply resulted in being a strategic and creative contributor. I am adept at multi-tasking and handling new challenges and situations.
For the past six years, I have acquired work experience in nonprofit, government, and internet startup environments. I have also had the opportunity to study, live, work, and volunteer in various communities: Richmond, VA; Bay St. Louis, MI; Washington, D.C.; Beijing, China; Birmingham, UK; Nottingham, UK; Canterbury, UK; and Hong Kong, China.
As a young professional, I am seeking for a job and corporate culture that is compatible with my interests in communications, project management and new media.
The Community Affairs Office identifies and supports top community and economic development issues facing communities located in the Fifth District (DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, and SC).
