Guys, I need your help! I'm flying to Philly tomorrow for an evening wedding, and I have a ton of dresses, but am thinking they are boring. Which do you like best?
1 - http://bit.ly/7BIcAH - wore this to a summer wedding.
2 - http://bit.ly/6aBo73 - wore this to the Governor's Residence a couple years ago.
3 - http://bit.ly/6stAm7 - I've worn this a lot for birthdays and parties.
4 - http://bit.ly/4PWpca - the holiday party dress I already shared.
Help! I really don't want to buy a new one.

I did wear that one... most of the girls at the wedding were in black, including the bridesmaids! (is that an East Coast thing?) so I was a little uncomfortable at first, but ended up having a fabulous time and got lots of compliments. Philly rocked too; wasn't sure what to expect when we came in from the airport, but the city totally grew on me in our short time there :) 123 weeks ago

In fact, it is funny you should bring this up, because I was just about to post something in this group along the same lines! See above. 123 weeks ago

Hey y'all! Loving how active this group has become, I'm totally going to have to step it up! So question: got a new job, and the dress code is way more casual than my last position. What are some tips for "business (very) casual" to keep things both comfy and chic with my new coworkers? Look forward to hearing your all's advice!

I try not to stand out too much from my co-workers who wear jeans and t-shirts by wearing a cotton t-shirt fabric scarf, or nice boots over leggings. I wear a lot of casual dresses too with tights. It dresses it up for me, but doesn't (hopefully) make me look pretentious. I try to match our VPs level (all men), but since there are no women execs, it's difficult to know if I've got it right! 126 weeks ago

It determines how people respond to you – and respects you as a field expert. The Power Suit concept can aide women in garnering positive attention for career advancement. Whether you are male or female your outfit communicates how serious you take your position and job responsibilities. If you stay ready, you never have to get ready for success, especially if an investor or client drops in unannounced. 126 weeks ago

Hello all, just joined the network and love all the fashion tips. Vanessa, re: wearing heels in the rain, have you heard of http://www.shuella.com/ ? I've been hankering for a pair but they're back ordered in the colors :) I want.
I'm short but can't do over 3 inch heels because I walk a lot and don't want to be crippled by the time I retire. To get more height and to sex it up a bit, I've started to wear more platform heels. I want form with function.
Oh and red lipstick all the way!

It is important to stretch and massage your legs, ankles, feet and toes. Simple release and contraction of the feet joints with medium pressure with alleviate stress. The key is to stretch your body before and after you have worn high heels. Yes wearing, running, walking, strutting your stuff in high heels qualifies as a sport. So treat your body well it is the only one you have.

Just moved to a new town & I'm "networking": coffee, no interviews. What to wear so I look professional but not like I am trying too hard?
Leigh K.:
so many good possibilities. id go w/ a slim-fitting blazer and nice blouse with dark jeans & either flats/boots. a quirky accessory or 2. 142 weeks ago
Rebecca Thorman:
I like Leigh's suggestion. A nice scarf in lieu of a blazer can dress up any outfit as well. 142 weeks ago

Advice: GF is going to a networking social/light eats&drinks. Right after work(5pm), a senator is speaking, healthcare field, what to wear?
Leigh K.:
i think she could do dark jeans, as long as they're a nicer trouser cut. bright shirt with a solid cardi or vice versa, classic jewelry. 142 weeks ago
Ryan Easttum:
Hey thanks guys. She's pleased w/the advice & if she's happy & smiling, then I am too. 142 weeks ago

Ideas y'all: I'm all about biz casual, my GF is old school and says do it to the nines. I'd rather wear a great shirt, no tie. Any thoughts?
Leigh K.:
i think you can definitely do no tie as long as your shirt fits you well (not too baggy or tight) and has some color to it. 143 weeks ago
Ryan Easttum:
thanks for the advice. I love sharp shirt, no tie. Vanessa: the concept of dresscode differing by region is something I haven't thought of. 143 weeks ago

Debating whether to see District 9 or Inglorious Bastards. Thoughts?
Leigh K.:
Inglourious Basterds is a bit long, but pretty great--classic QT. seeing District 9 this weekend, and looking forward to it... 143 weeks ago
Justin Gardner:
I've seen both. District 9 makes you think. Inglourious Basterds makes you laugh. If you're looking for a more satisfying film it's D9. 143 weeks ago
