Lauren Johnson This week's polls are out and the Badgers are ranked in both - #17 and #20! Hopefully we can pull off wins at Michigan State Wednesday and at home versus Purdue on Saturday.

Meghan Skiff So here is a question for all of you. TeeTeeEchols' comment below got me thinking...why only a 3 inch heel? I've heard this at different points - that women should only where a certain heel height. Personally I'm in 5 inch heels everyday. Are there any thoughts/options on appropriateness of heel heights?

I actually don't find it difficult to walk in heels in the snow, but it's certainly a lot colder! I think a nice pair of boots looks very professional. You don't need to go to an actual snow boot or Timberland style to be safe. Piperlime.com has an amazing boot collection, and Macy's at Hilldale does as well. I like pairing a boot with different styles of tights, a dress and a fitted jacket in the wintertime. It's all about layering to stay warm and flexible.

Rebecca, never tried Banana's shoes but I will now.
I've also had good luck with Jessica Simpson's line and Calvin Klein...CK holds up very well. For those of you in cities, walking around all day can ruin shoes fast.

And yay for Piperlime! I'm a big fan of the RZ picks.

Lauren Johnson For those of who you do not think the Green Score is an appropriate part of the criteria, what would you replace it with? Would you prefer a list that reflected corporate citizenship instead?

How do you compares programs helping underprivileged kids with those that supply emergency relief? The Green Score, on the other hand, is a straight up score that is easily comparable. However, I agree it's not very useful on its own: like Penelope said in her blog, it's an indication the company "understand the value of being a good corporate citizen", but doesn't every national company have a green policy these days anyway?

To quote a professor I had "the green score is nice, but it does not get rid of the dirty laundry." The point, look at a corporation's recent dirty laundry. You will get a good idea of where the corporation has been, and what direction the company is be headed.

Penelope Trunk Warning: This group is becoming Penelope unedited. This is what I'd sound like without an editor. Because my editor is already overwhelmed with my blog and my tweets. Okay. So, Is this a career topic? I just met with the farmer. I tried to convince him to stay with me. I know TOTALLY LAME. I know. But i couldn't stop myself. And he told me that he knows I'll be fine. He said I should just buy a farm. But I think I want to be a housewife. I don't want to buy a farm. I want to marry a farm. Crap.

@Bennett - Also I have to highly disagree with "Plus, if you truly think about it, VERY FEW people who work actually contribute anything of REAL value to SOCIETY. Most actually produce negative effects..."

There may be some, even many, who produce negative effects, but I think the vast majority of the workforce is doing SOMETHING productive and ultimately beneficial to/valued by someone. The economy wouldn't run otherwise.

I will digress on this but I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this comment.

It just takes one person on one day in the office, and sooner than later, hoodie sweatshirts, Crocs, flip-flops, logo tee's, etc. are all 'acceptable'! It's hard to break those habits once they become commonplace. I want to feel confident in the people I work with/hire/do B2B business with ... and somehow, Crocs don't really convey that message.

A tailored dress or skirt that is at (or just above) the knee. Include a cardigan (or lightweight jacket). Don’t forget: Jewelry like teardrop earrings, a few bangles or a long-string of faux pearls. The key is to set yourself apart from your male counterparts. Ascent your feminine features with a well-tailored outfit that communicates that you are social and professional.
