- Lead marketing efforts for First Night Pittsburgh and Three Rivers Arts Festival events, including traditional and new media applications
Led 100% of marketing efforts for the Festival until it was acquired by The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Made a $45,000 budget stretch to deliver $90,000 of value by negotiating media partnerships and sponsorships.
- Functioned as primary institutional copywriter for all print and electronic communications, meshing Carnegie Science Center’s mission with programmatic offerings for general audiences, museum members, teachers and funders.
- Wrote and managed content for the institution’s two primary websites, totaling over 350 web pages.
- Managed upgrade of the museum’s Access database, which maintained over 40,000 marketing contact records of past and potential customers, schools and other target audiences. Designed new database and developed processes for improving data acquisition and management.
• Directed production of 50 Years on Track: Pittsburgh’s Miniature Railroad & Village, a 30-minute DVD documentary. Duties included selecting production company, organizing shoot schedule, overseeing feel and direction of the project and final editorial decisions.
- Authored funding proposals targeted to corporate, foundation, individual and government sources. Managed gift acknowledgment procedures.
- Coordinated Board communications, including monthly newsletters, quarterly reports and presentations.
