Ryan Paugh What are your favorite cooking/food related shows? My personal favorite these days is Man vs. Food. Also, No Reservations will always have a special place in my heart. What do you watch?

Pete Collins: Anything with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Very big on local and WILD food.

Breanne Potter- Harris: You can't beat "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." Love that show! I also like the "Cupcake Wars" and "Best Thing I Ever Ate"

Lauren Bootier I just got an interview for a job similar to one I turned down 3 yrs ago (I was moving, not stupid!). The ad for the job listed a salary lower than the one I was offered 3 yrs ago, but it's in a city with a higher cost of living. When salary comes up, can I mention this as means for negotiation--it seems wrong to get paid less for the same work in a more expensive city. Thoughts?

You should definitely always ask for more money in a salary negotiation and keep as many things in your back pocket as possible to bring up. The cost of living and other opp would be something I would bring up as a last resort. Hope that helps!

It's been 3 years since my last experience in this specific position so that number is the only salary comparison I have to know if I'm even on the right track. So while I'm 3 years removed, I'm also 3 years more experienced and would be taking a pay cut as is. And yes, the economy hit a down slide but the cost of living went up. I guess I thought I'd pick some other brains in related fields to see what I could do if my first offer (made to someone fresh off an internship but was something I could have easily lived off of) is substantially more than this offer (which would only barely pay the rent).

Have you estimated your expenses and such and come up with a "minimum" salary that you'd be willing to accept? I'm in the process of doing that for myself in my job search (I'm also moving to a higher-cost-of-living area), so I can weed out the opportunities that may seem good in terms of job duties/career path, but just wouldn't be a good match in terms of salary.

You were right about adding the parsley and thyme. Also added a handful of 5-cheese Italian blend to make it extra gooey.

Emily Moore I'm a college student living on a small income. I'm always looking for new and quick recipes to fit my budget.

Mehul Kar: I try not to think about the budget but cooking is probably a lot cheaper than eating out. $70 of grocery lasted me two weeks (and counting).

Lauren Bootier I need herb help! I'm trying to duplicate the herb butter from my favorite NYC restaurant but I'm stuck on the lemony flavor and can't figure out what herb it could possibly be. I know it's not lemon zest b/c there are no yellow flecks in the butter. Help!

106 weeks ago from I Love to Cook!

Patricia Gunn: Try lemon thyme. It has a very lemony flavor.

I believe it was lemon juice, lemon zest, basil, and dill.

Jung Fitzpatrick I'm having a friend over for dinner next Monday. I want to make this Southwestern Pumpkin Soup (http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Southwestern-Pumpkin-Soup-1...). My friend is vegetarian and I want to get some more protein in the menu. Also, looking for a simple salad. Any suggestions for either?

@Lauren a simple salad is probably the best way to go--thanks!

@Jenn your recipe looks very good. I was reading reviews on epicurious and was going to do a version that included black beans for more protein. And I agree the sugar is probably too much.

Jung Fitzpatrick: In case you're wondering, this soup turned out yummy! Just did a simple salad and had a nice glass or red with it!
