Hey guys so I am a fantasy football blogger and Have received a fair amount of feedback about not having any visual content on my website. For some time we have been discussing the value that pictures and video would add to my blog. My concern is that at what level am I guilty of copyright infringement? I would love to be able to show a video of game highlights but am not interested in tangling legally with the NFL! also, cant find a place to apply for "expressed written consent of the NFL" =/

I work with the NFL a bit and have found that they don't actually own most of the imagery and footage - unless they shot it themselves. I know that streaming footage from games infringes on the broadcaster. Stills can be bought through Getty, AP and the like. Surf around and see what others are doing is my best advice. Good luck! 118 weeks ago
