I just relocated to the Milwaukee area from Indianapolis due to marriage. Prior to my marriage I was working at Wiley Publishing as the Marketing Assistant for the Consumer For Dummies line. I am passionate about marketing, fiction writing (wrote my first story when I was 6), scrapbooking, protecting the environment and the oceans, pets, volunteering, and any other crafts that sound interesting to me (Right now I'm crocheting again, and I want to make a few no-sew fleece blankets. These blankets are for a local humane society.).
I've never moved very far away before, so this is all very new to me. I've got a few friends up here, but I'd love to make some more. Being inside an apartment all day with no job to go to can get pretty depressing. I've been applying nonstop...but not much luck. I have a weekly goal sheet that keeps me busy, though, so I keep myself occupied from 7 in the morning until 5 or 6 at night--job hunting, working on my fiction, networking, cleaning, volunteering, feeding my lizard.... I'm hoping that networking will lead to new friends and a job. Feel free to shoot me a message to chat about anything! Especially if it's in relation to one of the groups I'm in (Wisconsin groups, creative groups, a marketing group, and an animal group). I look forward to hearing from people!!!
