its very funny that at one point in life, i wanted to be a writer that was in my second when i did nothing but write poems and they became very immense, so i thought they would fill a book, i was set to do this, i knew i would because my poems were quite good. i loved them my self. but in Uganda, writing is like social suicide, there is not so much market for that, i got a little bit discouraged, i still have my poems though. hope to get the chance to publish them.

i want to join the food business but that will require starting from a smaller level, like setting a stand for different snacks and even food, its easier in Uganda, well then, i can save little by little and put up stg big. like they say, one by one makes a bundle.

I have been thinking about my career so much, am apparently in the accounting field but this is not a career i wd want for the rest of my life. i just want to do business, mge the small ones i can create and thats it, but am hanging in the accounting thing, its pretty confusing, what do u think?

I hope it has not come to that. But then again, perhaps that is why I have never had a full time job.

What do you guys thinking about only choosing one career? Do you really think it's necessary to pick a field and stick with it? Ex: I'm in publishing but also plan on attending pastry school. I'm not choosing pastry over publishing, I love them both. Gen X and above find this trait flaky. I see it as having a lot of passions. I've worked in everything from construction to food service to tech product management but it all makes sense in my head, how these experiences relate to and build on each other.

Mistakes are important and they do can assist in decision making, but I believe our mistakes should not dictate how are we can go. Kind of the thought of building from your imagination and not your past (I don't remember who said that). Good stuff though, Kimkeen.

I tell people all the time to focus on what you are learning in every situation. I've been able to use all the stuff I've picked up and i'm still learning everyday.
Keep loving life and focus on the basics (good writing, public speaking, building relationships, etc.) regardless what you major in. Rock on.
