Jeremy I'm volunteering for a small non-profit in desperate need of a new website. The website content will be maintained by non-technical staff that probably shouldn't be allowed access to edit all of the code. Has anyone found a good solution for this? Any good frameworks out there to develop a site myself?

Aaron Coates: Would have to be Drupal for me. Role based users and CCK (content creation kit) make it ideal.

If you've got product manageent/e-commerce requirements, Drupal's a great, very flexible choice. However, if getting it up fast is the most important thing, it's also worth looking into Joomla, as it's a bit more "pick up and play" than Drupal.

Photis Patriotis Anyone know of any web-crawlers that are cloud based and I can use for testing? Basically, I want to fire up a bunch of them to crawl my dev site so I can run analysis on the responses/server activity.

Really cool stuff for simulated user load testing. Does JMeter do crawling though? I've only seen it work with pre-programmed tests.

80legs looks pretty promising. I was hesitant trying it since it brought down the site before. It gives you a lot of custom code options and it's free unless you want really robust crawling. I still need to see whether I can actually do all of the analysis I need to on the responses though.

Photis Patriotis: Update, I have also started working with MongoHQ.com. It's a cloud-based solution for MongoDB hosting.

Photis Patriotis Does anyone here spec out their projects before-hand? How do you do advanced drupal specifications?
