Mike Ambassador Bruny Looking for graduates of the past 5 years (College or Grad. school) to answer 2 questions: 1. What do you wish school would have taught you? 2. What's the most valuable advice you would give to students who are getting ready to graduate college in 2011? Looking to leverage Brazen Power (flexing muscle as I it). Working on updating a presentation to graduating College Seniors.

Ryan Paugh I mad at myself because I didn't go grocery shopping last week and ended up spending a ton of money on takeout. It's lame that I let myself get so busy that I forget to do the basics. I usually try to get my basic grocery shopping done on Sunday nights so I don't have to worry about other stuff like working late get in the way. How do you guys fit in basics like grocery shopping into your routines? Are you a Sunday shopper like me?

I also try to do some cooking in advance so I have lunches for the entire week. I cook black beans, hard boiled eggs, quinoa, and other healthy stuff so I can make quick salads before I head into work in the morning.

So I invested in a small freezer & go to a wholesaler once a month to buy as many products as will keep. Bread, meat, fish, frozen fruit for smoothies..... I'm eating better than ever & usually only need to shop for fresh fruit & veg. Good Luck with this

Stanley Lee: How did the Valentine's Day event go? It was the same day as Chinese New Year for any ethnic Chinese members here.

What helped you get your first nonprofit job?

Have specific, valuable, and unusual skills. The most obvious ones include being a good writer or having a high degree of technical acuity. See this post on how my father did it: http://blog.seliger.com/2007/11/29/they-say-a-fella-never-forgets-his-fi...

I was green--right out of college, but they took a chance on me because of my strong writing skills and passion for the cause: my nephew is liver transplant recipient. I've been part of the team for 7 years now.

Is there a nonprofit that is close to your heart or one whose mission you admire?
