I am tired of the mundane and am searching for a career I will actually enjoy. My current goal is to leave retail sales for an entry level position in publishing, editing, or a position in the arts world. I would love to do some freelance writing or journalism and eventually be able to review books/movies/music for a major publication. I am task-oriented, self-motivated and independent, I pay attention to details, and am quite observant and objective. I have a true passion for the arts and therefore cannot envision a career for myself without music, theater, writing, or film.

I also helped train new employees on operational procedure, competed weekly merchandise price changes, inventory adjustments, and inventory cycle counts while keeping the sales floor and displays clean and organized.
I acted as a hostess for large groups or parties, an usher, ticket-taker, I sold merchandise, participated in promotional giveaways, crowd interactions and on-field entertainment, and provided some general security and customer service.
