About Me
I have been a freelance copyeditor and proofreader since November 2004. My editing career began in July 2003, when I earned an internship in the editorial department of a small book publishing firm in Madison, Wisconsin. In December of that year, I received an English degree from the University of Wisconsin, and I was then hired on full time as an editorial coordinator until the company was purchased and closed in late 2004. At that point I began freelancing for the purchasing company, Apex CoVantage, and I have completed numerous copyediting and proofreading projects for them over the last few years.
Since January 2005, I have also been the associate editor for the engineering magazine High Frequency Electronics, which has given me valuable experience editing technical writing and articles written by ESL speakers.
I am extremely proficient with the Chicago Manual of Style and APA style, and I am accustomed to following style sheets and following authors' particular preferences. I strive to exceed expectations and complete every project on time.
