Katie Konrath Anyone out there who has a flexible schedule and lots of ideas? My company (Ideas To Go, an innovation consultancy) is auditioning creative people to bring in for our client projects. This isn't a job - it would be about 1x/month on an as-needed basisi, but it's a lot of fun and pays well. So if you're between 22-35 and want to get paid for having ideas, I'd suggest you check it out! http://newyork.craigslist.org/jsy/etc/2299564423.html

Rebecca Thorman I am REALLY excited today because I am officially credit card debt-free! It's all paid off and I'm pretty proud of myself. My next step was going to be to pay off my student loans (which have very low interest rates) or maybe my car (which I think has a 6% interest rate), or instead, re-build my emergency fund and then start donating to my Roth IRA again. What do you all think? Get rid of all debt or save a little first?

This was awesome to read everyone's replies. I sat down with my spreadsheet, worked the numbers and found that I will be able to max out my Roth IRA, fill my emergency fund back up and pay off my car loan completely by the end of next year - so that's the goal. I'll probably do split payments between savings and car loan as many suggested, and then roll over all to savings. Thanks so much again!
