I work with a non-profit and am responsible for an annual event where individual fundraising for the organization is a big part of the income. We're looking for a good online tool that allows us to register as an organization and have individuals or teams create pages that they can send out to their contacts. First Giving is the obvious choice, but 7.5% of the donation seems like a high fee. What are my alternatives?

You can set up a basic website where your people can sign up on and then you can even track how many emails they're sending out to their personal network. We use it for Big Brothers Big Sisters in San Antonio for our Bowling fundraiser. Usually the fee is around 5-6% of the donation.

That's what my office uses too-- it is very easy to connect to Raiser's Edge or to export data for other databases & mailing lists. Good luck!
