I'm Katie. Hi.
About Mes are stressful. I had the brilliant idea to vow to myself to always have each 'About Me' that I write not only be truthful, but different than the rest of my bios.
So, I'm going to attempt to make this rhyme because it'll show my creativity, craziness, and love for ignoring rules of iambic pentameter. And you're going to love it, I promise.
---
I'm Katie and I was born in the state of NJ.
Though Philadelphia is the wonderful city where I reside today.
I work for a guy who sells real estate property.
I'm learning how to do property management and accounting properly.
Though I enjoy the job I do during the day
This isn't the niche in which I'm going to stay
Being a High School Guidance Counselor is my big dream,
I also want to get a book published and be on an Irish Dancing Team.
I also have built what I'd consider a successful Freelance Career
I have about 4 clients to which I hold dear.
I write for an Autism Blog, Do Marketing for an Automotive Dealer,
And I am the Editor in Chief at Stratejoy.com - The Quarterlife Crisis Healer!
My skills include social media, blogging, and organization,
I take on every new project with a sense of pride and dedication.
If you asked my friends my number one quality,
They'd say I'm sorta funny and should try stand up comedy.
Helping people and making positive changes are my true passion
I also love starting over, organizing, and making things happen.
When I'm not working I enjoy running, pancakes, and Starbucks' Iced Chai Tea,
Large coffee mugs, Dexter, Phase 10, and the Michael Jackson game on the Wii.
I'll wrap this up because I don't want it to get boring, but I'll leave you with this:
Sometimes I get extremely overwhelmed, and lack the necessary pep,
But I just remind myself that every single long journey begins with one single step.
PS:
I enjoy spending time with people who's interests to mine are nearest,
This is why I hang out with the brilliant folks (like you!) at Brazen Careerist!

I blog professionally for Dr. Wong on Autism. On a weekly basis I produce a blog post on varying topics having to do with Autism.
Lead the Marketing Campaigns for the automotive dealer service provider. I interact with other automotive dealers via message boards, write articles, submit articles to directories, and any other odds and ends that need to be done. I've also done some web design for this client, though I'm not a spectacular designer...yet!
After being a season 2 Blogger for Stratejoy, I decided to stay on board and help mentor and guide the Season 3 bloggers. Stratejoy is a place for gutsy girls to overcome their quarterlife crisis, identify their big dreams, and make them happen. Molly Mahar, the founder and CEO is amazingly talented and a non-annoying ball of happiness.
New to the BilGar Properties team, I jumped in as a Social Media consultant and office chick part time. During the course of a few months, I quickly caught on to the Real-Estate business and have begun a move into the Property Management sector of the company. I'm learning as I go along and appreciate the team-feel of the company.
Taking the often misunderstood job of bill collecting to a new level. Yes, I called customers, and yes, I asked for money. However, instead of making it sound like "Taking" the money from them, I put more of a focus on the "investing into their future" aspect.
-Started as a Business Development Representative responsible for working new leads to generate traffic for the dealership.
-Quickly promoted to administrative assistant in which I developed a tracking system for employee production that is still in use today.
-Again promoted to Client Services / Floor Manager where I was responsible for monitoring the development of our employees. I also did some work in Quality Assurance to ensure top notch phone etiquette.
I'm a recent addition to the JPW International family, but I feel like I've been there forever. Along with the CEO, I locate and apply for jobs in which we are qualified for.
JPW International has a huge focus on "Always Growing". One of my favorite things is that each week, I'm paid to learn something new. Whether it's SEO options or better article writing, I'm able to learn something new that I can apply.
In addition to locating jobs, and writing proposals, I have also done basic market and keyword research, and client services.
My 8 month stay at Authentic Bartending consisted of doing anything from office organization, problem solving, and social media development. My #1 accomplishment would be my development of the curriculum for their newly-launched online bartending course.
