About Me

Kathrin is a social entrepreneur!

She is a social media strategist, blogger and community organizer at the intersection of race, class, gender, sexuality, land-based struggles, our spiritual survival & economics.

Kathrin is the founder and principal consultant at KI Consulting, an Atlanta-based social media and fundraising strategy development consulting firm which assists individuals in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors in securing the knowledge, expertise and resources necessary to lead effective, mission and results - driven organizations, campaigns and businesses.

Kathrin was educated in Germany and the United States and received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science with honors, with a concentration in modern European history, urban politics and gender from Temple University, and presented her honors thesis on 19th Century Feminism in the Russian Narodniky Movement. Subsequently, she received a Masters Degree in History from Villanova University with a concentration in race and gender in the early Atlantic World.

She was a panelist at BlogHer09 and various diversity panels in Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, San Diego, Washington, D.C., and Houston. In her spare time she enjoys reading (check her out on GoodReads), cooking (makes an amazing Macaroni & Cheese and Chicken Marsala) and traveling (recently fell in love with the Adirondacks). She was born and raised in Germany and recently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and is making the South her new home.
