Hey coffee lovers- I have a question for y'all! I'm sitting here at my desk sipping my ice coffee and checking work mail when I reached the end of my tasty, cold, delight! Now I have a cup full of ice and it makes me wonder if I'm getting less bang for my buck when I order an Iced Coffee. Sure the cup is bigger but the ice does take up more room... what do you guys think?
Scott Keegan:
Or maybe you could skip the ice and just drink real coffee? ;-) 107 weeks ago

I hate waiting for hot coffee to cool- what can I say I'm picky :0) 107 weeks ago

Looking for recommendations of corporate communications blogs, particularly employee/internal communications. I'm also curious if anyone has experience putting together a company's internal communications strategy or goals. Thanks!

We were looking at SnapComms (http://www.snapcomms.com/products/products.aspx)as an interesting toolset to get started. I think the key is realizing no ONE product is going to do all the communication for you. You need mulitple, overlapping products and a culture of communication. Happy to talk to you about that more if you're interested. 109 weeks ago

Hi Everyone!
Just a reminder that this month's meeting is this Tuesday (the 16th) at 6:00. There are some good discussion points in the reading guide included in Guernsey, so it might be helpful to bring your copy of the book!
Hope to see you all there!

Just want to confirm we're still on for tonight - 6 p.m. @ Barriques? I have some great discussion topics for Infidel, compliments of Ellen!

Tomorrow at Barriques - 6:00??
I'm going to get there early so I can snag a table w/ enough seats for everyone, so if you think you might come, just leave a comment!

Does anyone have tips on where I can find salary information for PR jobs in Madison? I'm looking for some salary comparisons for a PR/Communications Director in Madison with 5 or less years of experience. Thanks!

I think it depends a ton more on the kind of work you're doing and done in the past than the title though. 124 weeks ago

The meeting for tonight is postponed because of the weather. As good as "The Help" is, it doesn't quite merit risking life and limb.
Let's plan on rescheduling for early next week - Monday or Tuesday. I'd really like for everyone who took the time to read the book to be able to join in!

Maybe we can plan on Tuesdays starting in January. Given the forecast for tomorrow, I don't think anyone would want to venture out after work (I heard 12" of snow between tomorrow and Wednesday).
Beginning in January, how would the second Tuesday of each month work for everyone?
Ellen Nordahl
It would be helpful to throw around some ideas for meeting guidelines before we actually start meeting (good idea!). As always, I'm completely open to whatever suggestions you have, but as a few starting points:
- Meetings once a month
- Members adopt a month and pick the book we'll read (good way to get out of our comfort zones)
- Post discussion topics/food for thought prior to the meeting so we have a starting point.
Discussion Points for the Help are here: http://bit.ly/6lgIq5
Thoughts?
Kate Scoptur: Thanks Ellen! Those are good ideas. I'll volunteer for next month. Also, we should try to have a set date for monthly meetings, like the second ...MoreThanks Ellen!
