I live "Hyperactivity that Works." I have lots of energy and I'm constantly working on something, so much so that my hobby is work itself. I believe that if I'm going to work, I should enjoy it, so that is exactly what I do.
I graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Marketing. I studied abroad in France, and will receive a dual degree from the ESC Toulouse once the paperwork is filled out. International Business is one of my passions. I speak both French and Italian with a smattering of Japanese. I wrote my Honors Thesis on cross-cultural management, a project that required an extensive literature review, participant observation, interviews, and translation of sources.
I am also passionate about Online Marketing. I currently work for Bulbstorm, a Facebook application development company whose application, Idea Challenges, allows company's to have submission and voting based contests right on Facebook. I enjoy finding out better ways of participating and tracking results in this new marketing landscape.
I in my spare time I work on my blog--Becoming Professional: A Blog. The goal is to help other college students and graduates like me to smoothly transition into the professional workforce. You can read my Tweets @KateDavids.
We do online focus groups as well as real world ones and have a proprietary social media buzz monitoring system. I personally handle a lot of online focus group work and a lot of social media buzz monitoring.
I handle their online marketing, from suggesting and researching tools, monitoring viral activity, to customer engagement online. When I'm not handling the digital aspects of marketing, I help coordinate with printers and other marketing partners to keep the real world marketing chugging along smoothly.
I handle whatever comes my way. I write reports, pull data, and lend my ideas in development meetings.
