I am a Psychology student currently working as an insurance agent with a great company - solid and reliable.
Initially this was "just a job" and a paycheck to get through college until I fell in love with the "financial solutions" aspect of the job.
I was hired to assist Spanish monolingual customers and be a secretary. Then I realized that I wanted to make the best out of my situation and learn all I can - these lessons can be applied anywhere, even as a psychologist.
I will eventually become an independent contractor - a producer. I want to help my boss grow her book of business, maintain satisfied customers, and make money in the process.
My goal is to sharpen my skills and expand my repertoire of aptitudes and knowledge. Yes, I will be a psychologist eventually but I want to be able to work from home or on my own schedule rather than being bound to a 9-5 shift.
I want to be excellent at presenting ideas and closing deals - both in Spanish and English. In this way, I will leave the office setting and meet people where they are at, work on my own, but still help my current boss grow her business.
I have a few things I am strongly passionate about. I go to bed thinking about human trafficking and I wake up thinking about it. What can I do?
I don't know but I am doing something against it for sure!
I assist Spanish monolingual clients better understand the difference between having insurance and being properly insured. I sit with people and find solution to their problems.
Everything and anything. I was the face of the office and assisted all agents reach their career goals.
I will graduate in June!
My favorite thing about the online program is the time management skills and self motivation that it has taught me.
This program helped me decide what direction my life was going to take.
This is the school where I first learned English from scratch and I am grateful for it.
