About Me

I grew up on a farm in South Central Colorado, and am still living here today. It’s too beautiful to leave! Upon graduating High School, I became a city-slicker and moved to Colorado Springs, going to UCCS (the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs). I graduated in 2004 with a degree in Communications: Media Management and recently graduated from Kings College and Seminary with a Masters degree in Practical Theology.

My senior year of college I started attending New Life Church, and turned my life around. And yes it is that New Life Church. I fell in love with the passionate worship, have been on several missions trip (everyone needs to go help out in an impoverished overseas country at least once, it will drastically change your life), and now work there. Prior to working at New Life, I waited tables and worked at a law firm.

I currently serve as the Director of the Desperation Events. On the side I’m also the Desperation Band Manager, which allows me unlike many people to actually use my college degree. It is by God’s grace that our church has survived, been sustained, and is now returning to some type of normalcy after two very hard years, of leadership failure and the shooting.

My passions include all things media. I love to read books by Michael Crichton, Charles Dickens, Roald Dahl, Garrison Keillor, Harold Kushner, and Patrick Lencioni. I can’t stand reading just one kind of book, I have to keep things mixed up. Movies are another pastime and my favorite movies come from Spielberg, Lucas, P.T. Anderson, Wes Anderson, Q. Tarrantion, the Coens and the Wachowskis. I have a wii, send me your friend code to play online, and during the summer months I enjoy golfing.
