I'll start - Having to move to Norway for a while, I needed an unlocked GSM phone... I have an old Treo I bought on ebay for a trip to China a few yrs ago - I actually was a big fan of the Palm OS... but the Treo lacks 3G and wifi and the OS/Apps are quite "dated". I have to use Skype so need 3G and wifi. Thankfully, my wife was able to upgrade to an iPhone 4 at work, so I was able to get her old iPhone 3GS. Of course to use it here in Norway, I had to jailbreak and unlock it. It has been great - skype and whatsapp messenger have saved me a bucket of money. I have web and email always available and lots of handy, useful apps like ones for the Oslo public transit, translators, currency converters, etc. When I return to the US, I'll be dumping the old RAZR and comparing the VZW iPhone to whatever is current on Android - US Cellular is our only other carrier so the options are limited.

Brittany Oster I'm way behind on the game as I still own a Blackberry. I'm very ready to switch to a Smartphone. T-Mobile has been my service provider for about 10 years. Should I switch to Verizon and wait for the i-Phone or just purchase a droid with T-Mobile? Help!!

Ryan Paugh Some Canadian official is trying to convince teachers to let students use mobile phones in the classroom (http://bit.ly/bXMl9F). I think this is a stupid idea. I'm all for integrating social technology into education, but I'm a little conservative when it comes to in-person eduction. I think time spent learning in a real-world setting is important. Adding more social tech to homework assignments is great, but these kids need to spend time unplugged, too.

They're even paying people to do it for them. It's funny. You wouldn't see this happening a couple years ago. School Boards would be doing backflips.

"Salary commensurate with experience" means to me that they either don't know what the heck they are doing (therefore they understand what the position/work should be) or they will never pay market value for the job. No sense in crafting a carefully crafted cover letter for the position if you think that they won't pay you as much as you (think that) are worth.

Ryan Paugh Do you ever drink with your boss or business partners? I drank Scotch with Penelope once when we used to work out of Ryan Healy and my crappy apartment. It was hilarious. I don't think that everyone out there could get away with the kind of craziness that we got away with because my one business partner is my fraternity brother and the other one is ... well ... Penelope. So how do you handle booze around people who you want to trust you?

Cameron Plommer I am wondering what your first introduction to the concept of passive income was. For me it was "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and and reintroduction by Steve Pavlina. Before these two resources I never thought there was any way to make money besides exchanging your time. These resources really opened my eyes. I am now incubating some ideas that could in the future turn into passive revenue. So what book/person/resource opened your paradigm to passive income?

Because of this experience, I personally don't see many difficulties in transitioning from the concepts of "doing chores for an allowance" AKA "working for a wage/salary" into "working for a residual income". It's not an advanced topic at all, it's just slightly different from "do this job and get a paycheck every Thursday" and in my opinion is absolutely digestible by 4th or 5th graders.

Really, the concepts behind taxation (also 4th grade "World History" if I recall - again just my school, doesn't mean everyone's school was like this) would translate pretty readily over into getting paid on an ongoing basis for an ongoing service.

As for creating an entire curriculum that deals with this, I'm intelligent but I'm not that smart! ;)
