Danielle Gibeault I'm wondering what your suggestions might be for finding a mentor. There is no obvious choice in the group of people that I already know-there are quite a few success stories, but none with anything that resembles the type of business I'm looking to create. How do you go about finding someone to help provide that kind of experience?

Danielle Gibeault: Thanks guys, some good words of wisdom here. I appreciate you having taken the time to provide thoughtful answers.

As you get going, you'll find more people in your industry to help you. Like others have said, an outside perspective can be a great addition to a mentor team.

Justin A. Sharpe Raine, that is exactly my point. It is nice to have posts under 400, but if your audience dictates otherwise, then write to your audience.

Lindy Gulanes Yogi poll: Do you practice the art of doing nothing?

Justin A. Sharpe: As difficult as it is, I try. It's usually through meditation that I can calm my mind enough to focus on nothing.

Justin A. Sharpe Right. I meant 'what'. However, I was referring to the length of an article. i.e. If the blog targets an academic group, it will be longer.

Raine: I dont necessarily agree - Ive seen people write pages on tv shows or their child starting school. And their audiences love it

Justin A. Sharpe Trust me Scott, that's my intention. Harder said than done though. Hopefully my research and program development will be convincing enough.

Justin A. Sharpe Well, the dancing is awesome! It can be frustrating at times, since there is just so much to learn. It truly is a beautiful art form!

Justin A. Sharpe I agree that blogging should be kept short due to attention spans - but the real question is - Who is your target audience blog's intent?

135 weeks ago from Blogging Ideas

Raine: I assume you mean what? I agree, your posts will be very different if someone is looking to hire you or go party with you.

Justin A. Sharpe I see many people are posting about exercise. This is good, as exercise can actually increase productivity, by reducing stress!

Justin A. Sharpe My greatest advice: Discover who you are, and who you want to be. Embrace yourself & what you can do... & w/ hard work the rest will follow.

Interests
I am enamored with intellectual conversations and learning. I love sports and play a variety with reasonable amount of skill (favorite is basketball). I love spending time with friends and family - I am more interested in personal intimate connections rather than huge groups. I am very much interested in helping others, and truly believe we are all connected. I want to fill my life with compassion and understanding. I truly believe it is my understanding that will propel me to succeed!
Goals
  1. Further personal connection with GOD
  2. Increase my knowledge
  3. Improve myself
  4. Improve my relationships
  5. Increase meditation/yoga capabilities
Specialties
Understanding others. Helping others get where they are going (even if I have to learn something new to help). Learning quickly. Working hard. Accomplishing goals. Giving hugs and words of encouragement. Giving sound advice (just need to listen to myself more!).
