I'm wondering what your suggestions might be for finding a mentor. There is no obvious choice in the group of people that I already know-there are quite a few success stories, but none with anything that resembles the type of business I'm looking to create. How do you go about finding someone to help provide that kind of experience?

As you get going, you'll find more people in your industry to help you. Like others have said, an outside perspective can be a great addition to a mentor team. 133 weeks ago

Raine, that is exactly my point. It is nice to have posts under 400, but if your audience dictates otherwise, then write to your audience.

Right. I meant 'what'. However, I was referring to the length of an article. i.e. If the blog targets an academic group, it will be longer.
Raine:
I dont necessarily agree - Ive seen people write pages on tv shows or their child starting school. And their audiences love it 135 weeks ago

Trust me Scott, that's my intention. Harder said than done though. Hopefully my research and program development will be convincing enough.

I agree that blogging should be kept short due to attention spans - but the real question is - Who is your target audience blog's intent?

Hi, I'm currently working on my MBA, & working with professors to develop theories for my dissertation (for PhD). I have a long road ahead.
