Jung Fitzpatrick The best financial advice I've ever gotten was to create different accounts for: 1) Monthly bills 2) Long-term savings 3) Short-term savings or priorities (vacations, bigger purchases, cc debt) 4) Play Then set up automatic deductions from my paycheck to go to the first 3 accounts + any investments w/ tax bennies (IRA, 401K), and the rest goes into my play account. Max out IRA each year. Only contribute to company 401K if they match, and only up til their match %. Pay down CC debt as much...

It may be an issue of working with engineers for so long (I was one) but the ill fitting clothes and the Dockers label are not doing anyone any favors. It's easy to dress appropriately, as a man, but apparently it's hard to dress with style. Here's the thing, guys, figure out how to buy clothes that fit you properly and you're 90% there to looking good.

Mojgan Fay Came back from Oregon Truffle Festival http://www.oregontrufflefestival.com/ and am now going through truffle withdrawal. What do you mean I can't have black truffle shaved on country bread toast with butter and fleur de sel for breakfast?? Sigh. I guess cereal will do. If you are in Oregon, I would highly recommend attending this festival. In 2 days I consumed 17 courses of delicious truffle goodness + wine. Oh, so much wine!

I recently made a grilled cheese you may enjoy: the main idea is to mix cream cheese and pesto together and put that on the inside of the sandwich with whatever else you choose. I used sun dried tomatoes, provolone, ham, and the pesto cheese mix for mine. You would obviously leave out the meat. When you butter the outside of the bread add a little garlic and rosemary to the bread and it instantly tastes like foccatia bread!

I disagree even more that dressing feminine will make people take you less seriously. Dressing sexy will do that. And dressing masculine in my experience is more likely to turn people, especially men, off. I work in a male-dominated field and dressing feminine, professional and creative has so far been to my benefit.

I usually google map wherever my work event/accomodations are and search for places to eat nearby and cross check with Urbanspoon.com or yelp.com. The places I've been to are not that close to DAR. Zaytina.com is swanky & has good Mediterranean food. I've heard Mehak.com is excellent East Indian. And for unique cuisine, the Natl Museum of the American Indian has a cafeteria w/ yummy and fun Indigenous dishes. Your hotel may have an excellent restaurant too.

I also have "ultralight" lenses that are thinner than standard. It is an investment, but it's definitely more long-term than anything else I had. Just don't get photosensitive lenses - you usually end up with permanent tint after a while.

Jung Fitzpatrick I'm trying to decide amongst some eye glass frames-styles & colors-(sorry, I looked for pix online as samples but there are none) that I liked & looked good on me. My current & only frames are tortoise shell butterfly style. I want frames that are different from my those and allow more versatility with looks and outfits, and I also really, really want racy, red frames. I'm afraid the red pair will be overpowering and harder to match. I'd get multiple, but they're spendy. What's your opinion?

If you like gingerbread, the recipe for that was terrific.

The soup I made below didn't taste like pumpkin at all, if you ever need to use pumpkin up for something!

I got cocky and put in 4 chipotle peppers of the suggested 2-4...Going to try adding milk and baking soda to the soup and hope it doesn't curdle!

The hominy is a good suggestion for next time! I've never actually bought it, but love it. I've been adding corn tortilla strips to my soup, which already has chick peas in it as well.

I've been hankering for a pair but they're back ordered in the colors :) I want. I'm short but can't do over 3 inch heels because I walk a lot and don't want to be crippled by the time I retire. To get more height and to sex it up a bit, I've started to wear more platform heels. I want form with function. Oh and red lipstick all the way!
