Do you ever take time to observe? We all have instant communication at the touch of a button and I rarely just observe. So today when I went for coffee I left the cell phone and laptop in the car. I took only a notebook and ink pin. Its amazing the ideas that come to mind when all the chatter is gone. Plus the fact that I observed an elderly lady stealing the sugar holder. What else have I missed?

How many opportunities do we miss because we didn’t put the extra effort into it? Recently, I spoke to a lady at the library about writing. She told me she had wrote six books, but none of them had been published yet. What struck me as odd was what she said next. “I’m really hoping that this next book will be published because I tried extra hard on it.” I’m wondering why she didn’t put the extra effort in the first six.

Thank you notes! Stop using your companies pre printed thank you notes. You know the ones i'm talking about, everything is done for you and all you have to do is sign your name. Hand write a thank you note! Hand writing is much more personal and it shows you care.
