I've been a software developer since 2001 and I've been focusing on Microsoft technology since 2004. I've worked in jobs ranging from developer to consultant and manager and I've filled in roles from team member to team lead. I've worked on products and projects. I've worked at companies ranging from three people to ten thousand people.
In the end I'd describe myself as a technical specialist with social skills.
I work on developing the new product. My role is currently to lead the team of developers working on the user interface and the supporting web services. Our user interface is build in Silverlight 4 and we use WCF webservices to provide our application with data.
As a side job I wright articles for SilverlightShow.Net.
As a consultant I worked on several projects for our customers. I've helped building a DMS system for mail for a local government based on SharePoint 2007. I've build a conversion system in Sql Server Integration Services for combining three CRM systems into one for a large Pension Fund. And I've worked on getting several websites for health insurance brands online (again based on SharePoint 2007).
I started out as a developer building websites, intranet sites and web applications. I quickly moved into the world of search and retrieval, where I facilitated the technical site from start to finish, including unique concepts like publishers delivering search indexes over the web to their customers. I ended up as a manager for the development department as well for the last year or so.
