Timothy Johnson III Hi everyone. I was curious if I could get your opinions on definite "must have" software skills for a budding marketing professional. I've noticed a lot of entry level marketing jobs seem to be looking for a jack-of-all trades. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm generally happy if they don't ask me if I mind running out for coffee or dry cleaning or dog walking on alternate Sundays. These days I throw myself on the carpet and beg, assuring everyone in the room that I am capable of anything and everything if only they will give me half a chance. Good luck with your endeavors and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Ryan Paugh As a Community Manager, how are you measuring success? Is it in members? Number of interactions on your site? How do you report what's going on to other members of your team? I feel like one of the hardest parts of managing an online community is communicating the value you're bringing to the table. So how are you doing that?

Just like in any profession, the best way to prove your worth is to explain your value to other team members in ways that they can understand.

I have been very open with the community on all the data I will collect. Still a struggle trying to connect the data to community goals but as always - work in progress. Would love feedback from others on my goals and if I am missing something simple.

Ryan Paugh This looks like it was awesome - http://bit.ly/4wW0pq - Was anybody involved in this snowball debauchery?

Nathan Lustig: I went. It was awesome. I'd bet there were about 2500ish people there at its peak and there were some pretty crazy costumes. My arms sore today.

Jonathan Streeter Two things you mentioned during tonight's webinar: (1) authenticity and (2) the tyranny of cheerfulness. For the former, have you read Rebecca Thornton's post about whether being authentic means anything? For the latter, check out Barbara Ehrenreich's "Bright Sided" where she debunks the "science" behind positive thinking.

Penelope Trunk: I'm the first commenter on Rebecca's post :) And I know Ehrenreich's book. I have to say, I think she's a whiner. Smart. But a whiner.

@ Penelope, why do you think she's a whiner?
