Started my career by joining the Navy right after high school. It was the best decision I ever made. I studied electronics and worked on the weapons systems of my ship.
After the Navy I worked for Intel manufacturing computer chips. I maintained equipment, ran equipment and build the training program for my area from the ground up.
I moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to my family.
I continued in electronics with a bench technician job performing component lever trouble shooting of electronic subsystems, then I worked in a plant as a electrical maintenance technician. I was laid off in 2003 when they closed the plant and moved production to Mexico.
I took this opportunity to change careers. I had been building my own computers for years and was eligible for retraining because of the plant closing. I went to College and got an Degree in Computer Networking.
After college I got a job with Catholic Charities in their IT Department. Since school I achieved two GIAC certifications, GISF (GIAC Information Security Fundamentals) and GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler).
Currently employed with Solutionary as an Information Security Analyst.
