Lindsey Sparks Should you still give a full two weeks' notice if you're leaving a job after only a few weeks/months? Does your answer change if it's a position where you manage people? What if you're not in the middle of any projects? Just curious what people think!

John Heartlein: I agree with the other responses. It would be rude and reflect poorly on you to give less than 2 weeks notice.

Ellen Nordahl What resources have you found to be valuable in time management? At Epic, all employees receive a copy of "Getting Things Done" by David Allen, and everyone has a professional development fund to put toward materials that are beneficial to their career development. I'm putting some of mine toward "Rework" by Jason Fried, but I would love to hear any recommendations for productivity-focused books.

I've noticed a lot of articles about the pitfalls of multitasking lately - the Harvard Business Review blog has offered several thought-provoking posts on the subject.

I'll definitely look in to the Lifehacker book (I read the site daily), and I'm intrigued to learn that there's a follow-up to Allen's first book. Your Brain at Work also sounds like an interesting read. Keep up the awesome suggestions! (And Eric - I agree - it is great to feel like your company is truly devoted to providing the resources you need to stay sharp and on top of your game).

Danielle Bullen I was contacted by an editor to write articles for a mag. We talked on the phone and she said, I'll pay X per piece. Two pieces are now posted on the website. Altogether, I'm writing 5 stories for her. What is the etiquette for requesting payment? Should I wait and ask for one check for all 5 once they're published? Any advice?

I'd recommend emailing her so you have it in writing.
