With so many doing tightening over the past year, I can guarantee you that many realized that 10 years getting really good at one skill isn't comparable to 5 years getting really good at 10 skills. You can balance years of experience with skills by good team-building. So as you search, check out job reqs for diverse experience and skill combinations.

When I moved here 6 years ago that is how I established a friend base here. The one I've stayed involved in is JCI (http://www.jcitoronto.ca/)--hold informal socials to get to know other young people once per month.
