About Me

* Author of Anonymous Lawyer (Henry Holt), a satirical novel from the perspective of a 45-year-old hiring partner at a corporate law firm. The book developed from a weblog I started while a student at Harvard Law School, which built a readership of over 100K unique visitors/month. The book has sold over 13,000 copies in hardcover and paperback and has been released abroad in the UK, Italy, Poland, Thailand, Korea, and Israel.

* The book received a 4-star review in the New York Post (“Stocked with up-to-the-minute references, and exposing, as it does, our culture’s mania to win at all costs, ‘Anonymous Lawyer’ has pierced the heart of a moment in our social history.”), was called “wickedly amusing” by USA Today, and was named one of the Rocky Mountain News’s best books of the year.

* Worked with Sony and NBC on a television adaptation of the book, co-writing a pilot script with writer/producer Jeff Rake and spending two years in development at NBC.

* Launched AnonymousLawFirm.com to promote the book and reach out to audiences online. The site went viral and had over 60K unique visitors in the first 3 days post-launch. I also worked with bloggers and social networking sites to promote the book, creating micro-contests and other initiatives to drive sales.

* Pitched and developed a number of other television projects in Hollywood, including a modern-day version of Night Court with Mandalay TV, and a sitcom based on the steroids documentary Bigger, Stronger, Faster, with Chris Bell. Have also written and pitched pilots about a child star-turned-entertainment lawyer (Hollywood, Esq.), and four congressmen living together in a frat-house (House of Representatives).

* Have freelanced for The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Moment Magazine.

* Worked at Rugged Land Books, a New York-based publisher, editing and ghostwriting for a number of projects including Internal Bleeding, a book about medical mistakes written by two doctors at UCSF.
