TOP IDEA: Mehnaz Thawer I have been chatting with a couple of friends who are considering Online Dating. I have no expertise in the area (and a few hangups about it too). They seem to think it's the wave of the future. What do others think out there? Any experience with it? Love it? Hate it?

Basically it's a way to look up court cases. So you can look someone up in WI and see if they have been arrested, got speeding tickets, if they have been through a divorce, if they are a sex offender, etc. Basically anything that goes through the court system ends up on here. I suspect other states have similar websites.

Here is a page that has a directory from different states. http://bit.ly/hjmKfN

Very interesting posts. I think it is fair to say that strategy (good, bad or indifferent) contains many of the attributes listed above.

I would completely agree that the "desired reality" has to be clear. Lack of clarity seems to be a large stumbling block for many organizations.

I also think that "action" in strategy has to be emphasized. If I were to ask a follow-up question. It would be "how is strategy developed?"

Jeremiah Bourque I'm looking to turn a book I've just completed, an expansion on Sun Tzu's "The Art of War," into something at least somewhat profitable, preferably with the most modern marketing techniques, since I plan to finish language learning books later and I need to get the process mastered one way or another. I realize it's a lot to ask suggestions for but, I thought this would be one of the better places for it. Thank you.

Jeremiah Bourque I've finished my book on Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". It's not published, and frankly I've been so focused on finishing it, I don't have plans for what to do from here set in stone, but I'm looking at all my options. Of course, it will be very much for the modern strategist. I'm considering keeping that as part of the title...

Sounds good to me.

One thing I realized in a funny way last night... reading a report on inadequacy of intel by US forces in Afghanistan, by a Gen. McChrystal aide... is that "know yourself" and "know your enemy" is usually treated too narrowly. Your stakeholders should be treated as an extension of yourself: as friendlies to be learned of to a deep, holistic degree. This helps reinforce a business acting like its stakeholders really are part of the business. (They are, but gotta act like it!)

Finished A World Undone: The Story of the Great War 1914 to 1918 - G.J. Meyer. I loved it, couldn't put it down and learned so much about a subject that I think my high school and college education skipped over basically completely. If you were ever curious about WWI I suggest you pick this up. Although, it doesn't really go into the peace negotiations in Paris in 1919. Therefore, I am currently reading Paris 1919 - Margaret MacMillan, which focuses solely on the peace negotiations.

It was birthed by the births of so many ascendant technologies, and changed warfare--and our world-- forever. The pics/films of that era are so redolent of all that. Fascinating.

Jeremiah Bourque Here's two thoughts on Brazen. First, my group empowerment concept works best when the people running groups have the power to tweak/ tailor the group/ network environment for the members. Twitter, even, has some background uploading features, very basic. Second, the "Read this author's blog." at the end of a post notice on Brazen doesn't fully convey the message that there's MORE that was not shown on Brazen..
