Director of Communications & Marketing for the economic development enterprise of the 8 county Madison Wisconsin region. As the first employee hired to help launch this business, I am responsible for all things communications, from long-range strategy to implementation and management. This includes website, print materials, collateral materials, social media presence, paid and earned media, PR pitching, presentations, guest editorials for staff and board, white papers, etc.
Managed the editorial process and content for a monthly B2B glossy magazine, average 64 pp., to approx 16K targeted circulation with 60K pass along readership rate. Responsible for editorial and art staff and product; wrote approximately half of each month's magazine.
Responsible for eight books, each publishing four times annually, on literature for college-age students. During the last two years of my tenure there I was also responsible for developing a project plan, scripts and process to migrate print content to databases circulated through public libraries nationwide.
