Scott Carver Easy question. Starting up a home based business providing PC/Network support for home/home office/small business market. Needing a printer for invoicing, scanning, copying etc. Not faxing. I've looked at and worked with both laser and inkjet MF printers but not extensively. What do you use, laser or inkjet multifunction printer? Model? Do you like/recommend it? Which do you think is better, laser or inkjet?

Scott Carver: Lindsey, http://trustedreviews.com is what I think, was ...MoreLindsey, http://trustedreviews.com is what I think, was one of the better sources for reviews that I've found. I've found an MFP laser and inkjet but I'm just having hard time determining which would be better.

Jennifer, the laser MFP that I've been looking at happens to be a Brother. The Brother MFC-7840W seems to have lots of good reviews, it's not a color printer but at this point I don't think that matters.

Michael, faxing is another issue. Not sure whether I want an online service or an actual fax machine. Leaning toward a fax service.

Will, I'm partial to HP for all types of printers. Just not a big fan of their prices usually. I think Brother is comparable to the HP from what I've been able to tell in the past. But, do you think inkjet would be OK for invoicing? I've never been down this road with printers. I can see them smearing or what not while going through the USPS in the rain and such. But the price difference in a good laser MFP and a good inkjet MFP is what is making this a bit of a difficult decision for me. And it's such a small issue. :)

Lindsey Donner: Thanks for the detailed response, Scott! I'm going out and buying a printer tomorrow. I'll report back with my thoughts after a month or so. ;-)

Lorena I'm updating my resume... How do you guys include your freelance work along with your staff job work? I want to showcase my freelance work to employers, but I'm not sure how to "fit it in" to the resume mold format (as far as dates, location, employer goes) Thoughts?

I don't advise other people on how to do so.

I've seen freelance writers go by names like "marketing consultant" or "copywriting specialist." Granted, if you're applying for freelance writing jobs, "freelance writer" is probably a more fitting job title.

Isao Kato Hi, I have worked with Miriam Salpeter (http://www.keppiecareers.com/) to rewrite my resume and here are the results: Before ( http://ow.ly/1byDz ) and After ( http://ow.ly/1byCt ) for your information. I would say that the rewriting process was a real collaboration effort and it inspired me to be more aware of my career motivation. Her service is highly recommended, and - any feedback on the resume is welcomed :)

Ryan Healy What are everyone's thoughts on Bloom Energy? They've been getting some serious press with 60 Minutes and now the whole world writing about them. John Doerr says that its like the Google IPO http://tcrn.ch/9KtiuO. It sounds like they're really on to something, of course I would hope so after raising $400 million before they even came out with a product!

I for one was excited when I read about it a few weeks ago.

I liked the format and descriptions, but I had no idea what job you were trying to get and how you were positioning your experience to achieve that. The best resume eliminates the doubt that you're not qualified from the very beginning and that all they have to do is screen you for a personality fit. I suggest getting a job description/advert of a company and position you really want to work for and tailor the language, experience, and formatting to fit that job. Your results will be amazing. Good luck!
