Like many people, I've worked a variety of jobs--from the standard waitress at a restaurant, to an announcer at a nationally recognized equestrian event, to teaching middle school, but I've yet to find a job that really utilizes the talents and interests I have.
I made the choice to become a teacher because it seemed a "safe" one with job security and health insurance--I got good enough at it to be invited to speak at national conferences. I was doing a good job, but I found myself bored and looking for new things to do. Now, I'm giving myself the chance to try and find something that really makes me interested in going to work each day.
