About Me

I hold no formal degrees or certificates, but I have been building websites for almost as long as I was ever in school (15 years and 18 years, respectively). If you take out time for summer vacations, going to college only part time for awhile, and sleeping in class (a lot), I would venture to say the web site building experience wins hands down.

I'm passionate about web users and how we can make their experience better. I want to build great sites, and I want to make the Internet a better place, a place were users can be free of confusing or slow interfaces and where the information they are seeking is paramount and the graphic design is secondary to that information. I also want the Internet to look nicer. Better graphic design, better font and color selection. I want the Internet to be everywhere -- on your desk, in your hand, at your fingertips -- and accessible to everyone, regardless of disability.

I like when attention is paid to typography. I like Firefox. I like solving puzzles. I like reading all the instructions before beginning. I like the Android OS. I like taking the time to write thank you notes, send gifts and personalize each company Christmas card. I like rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs even though I don't get the rules of football, exactly. I like helping people and organizations achieve their goals by leveraging the power of the web.

Finally, no matter what your profession, working with me will make you feel like a comedian, because I laugh loud and I laugh a lot.

• Internet jack-of-all-trades, with a comprehensive familiarity of the Drupal content management platform. Website design and web application design, as well as consulting on how to develop a strong and effective web presence.

• With a small team, supported the websites and online banking for nearly 1800 financial institutions coast-to-coast, including responsibility for uptime of customer interfaces and online applications.
