TOP IDEA: Daniel Sunshine I'm starting a new media innovation and trends group and would like to invite Brazen members to get in touch if you are interested in playing a roll. The group will identify top online and tech trends and will collaborate to create blog posts on the subjects. This is a great way to focus on topics that interest you and feature your insights to a broader audience. I used to head National Geographic's Gen Y Trends Group and love analyzing the impact of innovation. Post a comment if interested.

Hi Erin (and DC folks),

If you're looking for comms jobs, I would check out this blog Mopwater PR. Run by a friend of mine, Amanda Miller Littlejohn. She regularly does job posts like this full of Comm/PR jobs:

Dr John Drozdal People also notice what behaviors get rewarded. When employees see others who work long hours get promoted, they tend to do the same.

138 weeks ago from Work/Life Blur

James Walker: But you can't leave out the other pieces though. If its just work long hrs, you get promoted with nothing else, I see people leaving.

Dr John Drozdal Interesting to hear that work/life balance is and outdated. Many Co.'s continue to promote it as a value and their employees tend to laugh.

138 weeks ago from Work/Life Blur

James Walker: What I see in my circle of friends is an acceptance of this as long as the work is interesting, we can have some autonomy and get recognized
138 weeks ago
Kate Hutchinson: It depends on the co. My current boss values my time/cares that I get time off. Other co.s not so much.

James Walker You can blur when your work is something that interests you. Building on RH, I can shift the 8work/4home thing either way if interested.
