About Me

Jason was born in Suzhou China, grew up in Newton, MA, studied biology and philosophy at Stanford, and now lives in San Francisco, CA. He is cofounder of Gumball Capital, a social venture, and spent ten years competing at the national level in men's gymnastics.

Jason currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Stanford Daily Publishing Corporation, where he manage the finances and day-to-day operations for Stanford primary newspaper.

He lives to work with passionate people on innovative projects that contribute to humanity.

  • I work at isocket, a tool that helps web publishers sell direct and self-serve display advertising, commission free. I focus on customer acquisition - we power ad sales for some of the top sites on the web including TechCrunch and Cheezburger Networks (the guys behind lolcats and failblog).

  • Business manager in charge of all non-editorial work at Stanford's independent student-led newspaper.
    Directly responsible for P&L and oversee a six-figure budget
    Manage 6 business staffers & do HR for over 75 employees
    At board meetings: prepare agenda, present reports & financial statements, and vote as a board member.
    Work to boost revenues through partnerships, new product launches, and other business development.
