Jamie Weinstein is currently a syndicated columnist with the North Star Writers Group.
Jamie graduated from Cornell University with a double majored in Government and History in 2006. While far above Cayuga’s waters, Jamie was an online columnist for The Cornell Review and a weekly columnist for The Cornell Daily Sun. During his senior year, he was named one of the “25 Most Influential Cornell Undergrads” by The Cornell Daily Sun for his provocative writing and campus activism.
After graduating from Cornell in 2006, Jamie worked as a Collegiate Network Journalism Fellow at Roll Call Newspaper in Washington, D.C. , a paper now forever remembered for breaking the story about Sen. Larry “Wide Stance” Craig’s shenanigans in a Minnesota airport bathroom. While at Roll Call, Jamie wrote for the Capitol Hill paper and worked as the assistant to its executive editor—and Fox News “All-Star”—Mort Kondracke.
Besides Roll Call, Jamie’s writings have appeared in numerous publications, including The Weekly Standard, The American Spectator Online, and FrontPage Magazine, among others. His writings tend to focus on national politics and international affairs. He also enjoys the occasional satire.
A frequent traveler, Jamie has traveled the world, from China to Israel to Cuba and throughout Europe and South America. He has also traveled frequently this campaign season to cover the 2008 Presidential race in person.
