1I contend the definition of "career" as we've been taught is out dated. How would you define, "career" now days? people are "seeking" the wrong thing. People should NOT seek out a traditional career, but rather always be looking for "the next adventure". I wrote a post about how we can redefine what we look for to better our futures...and how that may or may not be a "traditional career". 2How do entrepreneurs and those of us that are so passionate about our work live a balanced life? WE DONT! 3I found a great video (link below) on TED; 2008 Harvard Commencement Speech by JK Rowlings. She talks about the "fringe benefits" of failure. This led me to think about my failures; and how they always lead to something better. This led me to the questions, "Are all failures purposeful?" Surely, we all learn something (or should) when we fail, but is there always more to it than that? Can you identify a failure that lead to nothing? 7I strongly believe it is clear that what society is missing are STRONG MENTORS in the more experienced generation; as well as companies not realizing how important mentorship is and making it a priority. What are your thoughts here? I contend that using mentoring programs will bridge our generation gaps. What do you think? Interesting convo already going on in blog; would love for the BC folks to jump in - http://bit.ly/cJEeU9
