I am an innovative strategic professional who has had the opportunity to work in the health field, not for profit, and legal fields. I have had the opportunity to gain outstanding insight in business and marketing strategies. I have worked in many different industries including Municipal and Appelate Courts, Political Campaigns, University departments, and various service industries. I have worked with and been able to surround myself with bright, motivated, and more importantly, individuals willing to further teach me in their areas of expertise. The experience I have gained includes marketing communications, market research, litigation skills, project management, sales, and recruiting, business development, advocacy, and team building. I have a strong ability to take a vision and implement it; as well as an ability to take a step back and see where other areas can be incorporated into the overall vision and how they are interrelated. While it may sound cliché, I found that I have the ability to see the forest from the trees and the trees from the forest.
In addition, I currently volunteer with the Cherished Friends of Ahava, a nonprofit organization. The Special Guest Program was created to "ensure those diagnosed with cancer feel cherished, regardless of their financial, emotional, physical, or spiritual status.” Special Guests receive a complimentary spa day at the Ahava Spa & Wellness Center in downtown Toledo.
I currently serve on the fundraising committee for Cherished Friends of Ahava not for profit. The non profit provides spa treatments for cancer patients. I am a Golf Event Committee member, Wine Event committee member, as well as the former Yoga Day Chair.

• Prepared briefing for pre-trial and trial litigation
• Prepared conduct of pre-trial and trial proceedings
• Participated as counsel before the Court in pre-trial proceedings, trials and appeals.
• Identified and developed multiple grant proposals for the office; seeking funds through the Justice Assistance Grants Program.
• Worked effectively in drafting grants to address two issues, the first to hire in new staff to bring the individual case load of each prosecutor more in line with the state average. The other, to restore prosecutor pay to the level prior to cut backs and furloughs.
o Currently, the prosecutor’s office was awarded the funds to hire on a new attorney for 17 months, as well as awarded the grant to replace lost salaries. The total for the 4 grants applied for was just under $240,000.00, which just under $150,000.00 awarded.
• Read case files and interacted with clients to understand the case details proficiently.
• Defended the client during the case hearing and presented their side of the story.
• Counter answered the prosecutor’s information and evidence in favor of the client
• Conducted interviews with the clients, witnesses, police officers, and any other people(s) involved with the case.
• Charged with mitigating any and all damages and charges between the State, my client, and any possible victims.
• Helped maintain and update all files on clients, from updating motions, to preparing the files for the day's court proceedings.
• Represented clients from their bond hearing, through pretrial, and trial, advising them through each stage as well as filing motions on their behalf.
• Researched and drafted legal reports and recommendations that were submitted directly to the judge.
Worked directly under both the Judge and his Staff attorney. Was charged with providing both research that would inform both to legal issues and how other judges have ruled on similar issues.
• Provided drafts of legal opinion to the judge for his review and granting. In particular I drafted a legal opinion on a civil appeals case concerning a pro se inmate seeking monetary damages against the court and three judges that he was suing.
• As a part of the clinic I had the opportunity to have a hands on experience in the realities of legal practice. Being in the court room on a daily basis gave me the opportunity to observe lawyers arguing both sides of an issue as well as a chance to see how two groups, given the opportunity can work through and resolve complex issues without having to go to the last result of a trial.

I was brought on board to do a comprehensive comparative analysis of several Water and Sewage departments of several large cities in the south and southwest, including those of Atlanta, Dallas, New Orleans, and Houston. My client had recently created a new organizational model and computer software for a similar sized city and needed an analysis to decide whether the system they created would be applicable to other regions and city management infrastructures.
