About Me

When I'm passionate about something I'm energetic, I never want to stop, and I'll do everything possible in achieving my goal. I believe strongly in the power of personal and spiritual development. I've worked in corporate training and development for over five years now and I'm ready to experience the personal side. My ideal position would be at an organization that helps other people along their path of self-development. A few places come to mind like The Chopra Center or Hay House Publishing.

I'm currently working full-time for Unlimited Coaching Solutions, Inc. and on the side I work on my personal project: Start Inside (www.startinside.org) This has developed and evolved since its creation in January of 2009. Right now its mainly a space for me to gather research, information, and my thoughts surrounding personal and spiritual development. My dream is to turn Start Inside into a center some day where I can help other people on their path and find the answers they're searching for.

Another interest of mine is writing. I've been working on my blog weekly on Start Inside and I've found it very therapeutic and have received numerous compliments on my writing. I'm continuing to develop these skills so I can accomplish my goal of writing a book!

Work History

  • Unlimited Coaching Solutions, Inc.
  • Communications & Creative Director
  • August 2006 to Present
  • In my previous role as the OM, I was really doing two jobs. In August of 2006, we spit the jobs and a new OM was hired, allowing me to focus on the marketing, design, and branding for UCS. Since then I've redesigned all the curriculum, marketing materials, and website. I've created a presence across the social networks and been leveraging them for marketing awareness. UCS is a small, family-run organization, so I've had the opportunity to where many hats. Most recently I've been assisting trainers in the classroom for some of our larger clients.

  • Scentsy Wickless Candles
  • Independent Consultant
  • April 2010 to Present
  • Scentsy products are so simple… screw the light bulb into your warmer, plug it in, turn it on, add a cube of wax, and enjoy the great scent. There are warmers to match any and all decor, they even have ones you can design yourself. They come in three sizes, full ($30), medium ($25), and small plug-in ($15). There are 80 scents of wax to choose from, the wax is made of a food grade petroleum base. And they all smell great! A few of my favorites are Camu Camu, Guava Nectar, and Spring Clean. The wax doesn’t burn away like regular candles, the wax remains only the scent goes away. Each bar of wax lasts longer than regular candles and is less expensive. Only $5 for a bar, and that is a total of 8 cubes! I suggest using 1-2 cubes in your warmers. Each cube of wax lasts between 60-80 hours. I promise you'll love these! We also have other products such as room sprays, car freshners, and travel tins.

  • Unlimited Coaching Solutions, Inc.
  • Office Manager
  • Febuary 2005 to August 2006
  • Responsibilities included daily office management; answering phones, client care, filing, typing, scheduling for 3 full-time trainers, prepping materials for courses and programs. That included printing all the curriculum, assembling it, and making sure each trainer had all the supplies they needed in the classroom. I also began working on all the marketing materials, design, and branding.

Education

  • Rochester Institute of Technology
  • N/A, Graphic Design, Communications
  • 2004 - 2007
  • After three years and millions of hours at RIT I decided to change directions. Many people thought I was crazy for leaving school but I knew that my passion for Graphic Design was no longer there and I was wasting money every quarter. If I didn't love it, why was I there? I left to work full-time and made a promise to myself that when I find the thing I'm most passionate about, I'll return to college.
