A Washingtonian who avoids the political scene in favor of eateries and yoga studios, Jackie Leventhal works at Sixth & I, a historic synagogue in the heart of downtown DC, where she coordinates cultural and entertainment programs. She has a Word doc. saved on her desktop labeled, "Famous people I met at work." This is who Jackie is.
Jackie graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a degree in Sociology (to fuel her passion for people watching). Her overarching goals include bringing the high-five back to the workplace, learning a second language, and meeting a Kennedy. In her spare time, she volunteers teaching English to immigrants, leads a women’s writing group, and finds solace on a hot pink yoga mat. Indeed, color does matter.
Jackie wrote a series for Employee Evolution entitled, A Millenial's Muse, which humorously chronicled the highs (winning the company's Halloween costume contest as Chrissy Snow from Three's Company) and lows (crying on her lunch hour) of her first job post-college.
Jackie Leventhal’s blog is Story of My Life.
