About Me

Hi Everyone,
My name is Isabel Rodriguez. I am a proud young woman from New Jersey but whose roots go back to Puerto Rico. Some other not so boring facts about me: My family is large with 7 aunts 2 uncles and even bigger web of extended family members. Since I was six years old, I wore hearing aids but now I like to joke that they are ultra-sleek bluetooths.

Here are other interests and hobbies that do not as apparent. When I am not studying, I love reading and try to keep my mind sharp by reading short pieces while in school. I play some guitar but decided to keep it a hobby and not make it a vocation. I'm not a big people person, more of an introvert but I do enjoy working with and assisting others on projects, arts and crafts, school work and community building.

It feels good to collaborate with other people whether younger or older than me. There is so much to learn, as my stepfather often tells me and team effort is a quality I admire. It is a challenge to get along with parents, other people my own age and mobilize an organization but once we see the outcome (after struggling through the process) it makes study groups and extra-curricular activities all the more worthwhile.

These are my values, themes that I hold in high esteem. I'm sure there others that not yet seen!

• I am interested in the "human" side to communication at it's basic level. How can facilitate difficult conversation and transcend differences? This and many more is what I hope to discover by taking the communication track.
