What are your opinions about having a job headhunter sit in on an interview with a perspective employer? My friend had an interview and the headhunter asked the hiring manager if she can sit in, and the manager says yes. It feels like the headhunter was baby sitting the interviewee.

I have been seeing lots of press recently about how job hoppers are bad. Mostly, I think these people are delusional because everyone is job hopping so it's a moot point whether it is good or bad. (But also, i really think it's good for everyone.) That said, I wonder, what tactics do you guys use when an employer challenges the number of jobs you've had? What works?

I will always speak with a candidate when job hoping is the only feedback the HM gives me. It has helped showing them that there is more beyond dates of employment! 107 weeks ago

After a telephone interview you forgot to ask the interviewers for his/her email address to send a thank you letter. Will sending the thank you letter through a recruiting staff (who scheduled the interview) to the interviewer an appropriate thing to do?

Or if you really want the job and would like to leave another good impression, try sending your note by express or priority mail (depending on your finances). In my years as a hiring manager, this approach would have been a welcome relief from the hundreds of e-mails I received every day. And the candidate who bothered to go this extra distance would have stayed in my mind. 110 weeks ago

Thanks Matt..I am told using Shadow copies will help in recovering network delete files
Matt Stratton:
Yup. There are lots of solutions around this problem. The Recycle Bin just isn't one of them :) 120 weeks ago

Anyone have an idea why when you delete a document/folder from a network share it is permanently deleted and as oppose to going to the recycle bin?

Basically, when you put something in the recycle bin, it simply moves it to a hidden folder on the same volume (and each user has a different Recycler folder on each volume). On a network share, if you had this type of functionality, it would require a Recycler folder on the volume for each user who ever deleted something...and it could lead to massive admin headache as these recycler folders grew out of control. 120 weeks ago

I also work with SharePoint (who doesn't, these days), but stay as far away from Exchange as I possibly can (nothing specific about Exchange, per se, I just hate managing mail :) ) 120 weeks ago

Ask at the end of the interview what the process is for the a decision. Get the milestones and the dates, then you know when to bug them. 143 weeks ago

Hi, Isaac. Something I think is interesting: That when you meet someone you tell how you found them. Your path to someone tells about you. 143 weeks ago
