Cameron Plommer What do you think are the key elements/strategies to consistently keep an audience for a blog. For example, does the blogger's personality inside and outside of the blog's realm matter? Is consistency and time the most important factors? Is it having a specific niche? I know all of these things matter, but what is the most important? How do you create an audience outside of your online and offline friends/followers/people that write about the same topic, and get a diverse audience?

The most important things for me are; knowing what you are talking about (being an expert basically) and having a good voice. I suppose that is the reason I am here. I found Penelope's blog back in 2007 and always enjoyed her style.

Helen George this may sounds stupid, but where do i go to blog? do i need to create a blog on a separate site? or is there somewhere to blog here?

111 weeks ago from Blogging Ideas

Mark Dykeman: I think this site treats all of these posts like blogs. I'm not sure if there's a way to import posts from external blogs.

Ryan Paugh OK. Let me know if anyone has thought of this yet. I came up with this Foursquare event idea with a couple friends yesterday. Wouldn't it be cool to do a Foursquare scavenger hunt? I imagine setting up teams of people and using Foursquare to guide them to different mystery locations around your city. Whichever team is able to check in at all of the mystery locations before the end of the day wins. I'm imagining kegs at each location, but that's just me! Thoughts?

Finding students who want to learn English from an actual teacher, rather than a program, may be tricky. I would suggest posting an ad on a website like Craigslist. This way you can advertise yourself and students will come to you
