Hello all! I'm speaking at a Mult Media and Entrepreneurship conference in Belgium in May and will also participate in a talk on U.S. vs. European entrepreneurship. Anyone have thoughts on similarities or differences, or other resources that I may find useful to get up to speed? Thanks!

Really interesting topic. Currently researching into Gen Y across the globe, so we noticed that a big difference between US and European entrepreneurs is culture. Particularly the US West Coast's forefathers were adventurous pioneers and much of your Constitution is about freedom of the individual to succeed. In the UK, however, our culture is still influenced by the Victorian mantra of 'the child should be seen and not heard' and that to promote oneself is a sign of arrogance and selfishness. As a result, while youth entrepreneurship is definitely on the rise, we're somewhat behind the US.
In terms of resources, I'd check out these guys: http://www.sandbox-network.com/ - Sandbox are a global network of entrepreneurs. One of the founders, Christian, is European and a great guy you could connect with.
Hope that helps!
